My Daughter

What can I say about Addison? Allot! She is the most wonderful, beautiful, wild, loud, sweet, stubborn, & strong willed child I think I have ever seen.

She is a mini picture of me! My dad says "You want to know what you were like at the age of 3 just look at her. The two of you are exactly alike." I am still puzzled as to weather or not this is a good thing or a bad thing?
She just had her 3rd birthday June 27th. She is always wanting to know things. She is at her what every child seems to go through WHY stage. I ask her to do something or get me something and the answer is always WHY? I told her the other night we are going to the fair and she said WHY? This can be extremely frustrating but at the same time I would be worried if she wasn't always asking why. I have to remind myself she is learning and this is her way of learning to simply ask WHY! She asks me why daddy has to go to work, I told her because he has to make money. she asked why I said because he needs to be able to buy us food and pay bills. she asked why I said because she we have to live.

I am realizing that not only is she learning from me, I am learning from her. Big things like patience, and unconditional love. I thought I knew what love was till I saw it through my children's eyes. Love to them has no reason or motive it is just there. I am also learning that I need to watch what I say around her to! She repeats everything! I am also learning that I can't argue with Neil in front of her! There are times when I will say daddy is being a butthead and later when he and I have had an argument about something she will look at me and say "mommy, daddy is being a butthead!" or she will ask it as a question "is daddy being a butthead?" I am learning that my thoughts need to stay where they belong in my head!

She loves to sing even if it doesn't make sense. We were in the car last week and she was singing "twinkle twinkle little star" but that's all she was singing then she would sing like a diamond in the sky then she would start singing ittsy bittsy spider or row row your boat and then she would go back to twinkle twinkle little star! Neil and I were laughing so hard!

The greatest thing about Addison is she can make you laugh so hard and not even understand why you are laughing or that she said anything funny!

I hope that Neil and I can teach her to be a great person and to keep that sense of humor all through out her life!
